Sara Sohail is a Ph.D. Student at the Department of South and South East Asian Studies. Her research involves a study of the women of Mughal India, with a special focus on the 17th and 18th centuries. She is interested in issues of morality, normativity, and the making of gendered subjectivities in the Mughal harem and other non-courtly spaces. Before joing SSEAS, she did her MA in History from the University of Delhi (2022) and BA from Miranda House, University of Delhi (2020).
