Dr. Collins has taught in SSEAS since 2016.  Her courses emphasize modern and contemporary prose fiction, essays, poetry, documentary films and other visual art from and about Southeast Asia in their social, cultural, historical and political contexts.  She has written, edited and translated creative and scholarly works on Viet Nam and is currently writing a book on modern Vietnamese literature.  Prior to graduate study, she worked for humanitarian aid organizations in the US and abroad.
