This course is designed for students who have already acquired upper-intermediate or higher level of Hindi. Its objective is to move students toward a greater level of proficiency in all language skills and introduce them to a variety of contemporary literary genres. Weekly readings, class discussions, and compositions will be on short stories and poems by representative authors and will focus on various social, cultural, political, and historical aspects of Indian society.
