Nuchinun “Noot” Kluaythong teaches Thai Language and Culture in the Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
Born and raised in Thailand, Ms. Kluaythong earned her undergraduate degree in Education from Kasetsart University. She has taught Thai to Khmer adult learners and also worked as an interpreter for Khmer, English, and Thai in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
She holds an M.A. in TESOL from the University of San Francisco and has extensive experience teaching Thai to university students and U.S. military language learners. Her teaching emphasizes communicative competence, pronunciation, and cultural understanding through interactive and real-life contexts.
She is fluent in Thai, English, Khmer, and Kuy.
