In Hindi 100A, you will learn to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. You will learn to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where Hindi is spoken. You will learn to produce simple connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. You will learn to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans. Level: Intermediate (CEFR B1) This course is designed for learners with elementary/intermediate knowledge of Hindi. If you are on upper-intermediate or higher level, you will be transferred to Hindi 101A. Prerequisites: Hindi 1B or written consent of the instructor. The ability to read and write is not an indispensable prerequisite for this course.
